The fatal incident occurred around 5:08 p.m., when the single-engine 2013 Jabiru J230-SP reportedly lost altitude during what authorities described as a routine flight. The aircraft crashed into a field near County Road Y and Township Road 14A, approximately two miles south of the village of New Bavaria.
Emergency responders arrived swiftly, but both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. The OSHP shared details of the crash in a press release issued Friday night.
